From the looks of it, he’s coming from the “white default” mentality. (No offense to any Greeks, but most get classified as white, too) I see it a lot, where people react negatively to the idea of no white representation, but find nothing wrong with the lack of non-white representation. It comes from privilege.

he thinks having an all all asian cast for an asian culture derived movie is racist, having an all white cast isn’t, and having an Ancient Greek movie full of greeks isn’t racist.

The thing that frustrates me is that the movie industry type casts. If you don’t look the part, you won’t get the part. It’s as simple as that. But for some unknown reason, they’ve gone completely against what the industry has been doing for years.

Example, If I was casting for Cool Runnings (Which is about the Jamaican bob sled team) and I casted an all white cast, it would just be ridiculous because all the characters are from Jamaica. Which is the same way I feel about this movie.
